Aquatics
Driving up to camp, you can’t help but be wowed by the beauty of Sly Lake. Watching and listening to the kids have a BLAST on lake is even better. Spring fed and almost 80’ deep in the middle, this natural lake serves as the center point for many activities our campers never get to do back home. And, don’t forget our heated, Olympic pool! It’s the perfect spot to improve your strokes or just play! Vigilantly watched by a large group of American Red Cross lifeguards, Weequahic campers couldn’t have a better opportunity to enjoy the water!
Swim Instruction
Led by Water Safety Instructors, our campers enjoy learning their strokes in a heated pool with a maximum depth of 6’.
Sailing
Wind in your hair, sails full, and joy abounding: come learn to sail at Weequahic! Our fleet of Sunfish boats is led by an experienced team of teachers who can’t wait to get the kids on the lake.
Kayaking
Learning to paddle a kayak is one of those skills you only learn at camp… and you’ll be happy to have done so!
Water-skiing
Our two waterski boats run constantly through the summer so that our campers can learn the wonders of waterskiing. With a large lake right next to our campers’ bunks, the kids have ample time to get up on skis.
Wakeboarding
One of our more popular programs, our campers learn to wakeboard under the tutelage of experienced riders and teachers. Let us help you learn how to ride and then jump the wake at Weequahic!
Canoeing
Come to learn one of the oldest camp skills taught: how to paddle a canoe. Surprisingly fun and certainly useful later in life, it’s a skill you won’t be sorry to learn
Tubing
Possibly the most fun ‘Bunk Activity’ at camp, our campers enjoy tubing with all of their bunkmates while at camp. Come bump and yell and flip on the tubes at Weequahic.
Swim Team
For more advanced swimmers, we offer instruction and time in the pool to get in the laps needed for stamina and improvement. We frequently place many campers highly in the Wayne County Swim Meet each summer.
Paddleboard
Get down to the lake to get up on the board! Our campers love paddling around Sly Lake with their friends. Whether racing or just moseying along, you’ll love your time on board.
Aqua Park
Come enjoy our eight element bounce house on the water. This new Aquaglide Park has everything from a trampoline to a rope swing and more. It’s a blast!
